Beginnings
Christian Edu-Care was established by Maiden Lane Ministries in 1973. From its small beginnings the Edu-Care has expanded into a reputable pre-school and summer program, serving over 150 families each year.

The chartered kindergarten program is recognized for its academic excellence. Limited class size promotes learning opportunities.

Our facilities were designed with your child in mind. Architectural features of the classrooms create a pleasant educational atmosphere that encourages learning and social development. Rooms are colorful and brightly illuminated. Classroom furnishings are custom-designed for young children. A regulation-size gymnasium provides vast space for large motor activities.

The beautifully designed outdoor play center features state-of-the-art equipment. 

Bridges
The years between toddlerhood and elementary school are vitally important in building confidence and a positive self-image. Edu-Care "bridges" these wonder years not only with activities and curriculum but with a Christ-centered environment. As our society enters the 21st century, we recognize the necessity of instilling traditional Christian values into our newest generation.

Building Blocks
The Christian Edu-Care Center offers activities that encourage growth in the five major building block areas of child development:

Spiritual…A reverence toward God and His Word are taught through Bible stories, Scripture memorization, Christian songs, and prayer.

Academic…Developmentally appropriate activities enhance the academic curriculum. A "hands on" approach to learning is implemented through science discoveries, cooking experiences, sand and water tables, music, and art. Readiness skills are emphasized in the Pre-K and kindergarten classes.

Emotional… Activities are designed to develop confidence and a positive self-image. Both cultural awareness and patriotism are integrated daily.

Physical…Children enjoy the climbing, crawling, 
and discovery activities on our custom-designed playground. 
The gymnasium in the Family Life Center provides additional play area. 

Social… Teachers work with parents in laying foundations of Christian character: respect for authority, obedience, honesty, self-control, and responsibility.

Basics
Christian Edu-Care is licensed by the Department of Human Services. The kindergarten is also chartered by the Ohio Department of Education. Carefully selected staff members meet licensing certification requirements and regularly participate in In-Service Training.

Christian Edu-Care is a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).

Meals and Snacks
Children enjoy high-energy snacks prepared in the Edu-Care kitchen. The full-time dietician serves the daycare children a nutritious lunch made with the foods children love.
