Senior Adults MinistryENERGIZERS Senior Adults Ages 55-Plus ENERGIZERS are persons who are age 55 plus and interested in fun, fellowship and learning. Some work, some are retired, some are married, and many are widowed or single. ENERGIZERS enjoy good company, good food, seeing new places and hearing inspiring and entertaining programs. Through fellowship, we build enduring friendships and find opportunities to share and serve in practical ways. ENERGIZERS believe Christ calls us to do anything we can to assure no one is alone, to love others toward Jesus and to glorify God with our time, gifts and talents. ENERGIZERS put God first in their lives and let their light shine for the world to see. Every third Thursday: 12:00 Noon …Game Day and Potluck. Bring your favorite covered dish and game and share in fellowship and fun. Last Thursday of the Month: 12:00 Noon …Golden Agers fellowship and potluck featuring guest speakers and entertainment. December 19, 2008 (Friday)… Annual Senior Adult Christmas Dinner at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center. Cost $5.00. December 23, 2008 (Tuesday) … Energizer visits to shut-ins at 10:00 AM. Breakfast at 8:30 AM in the Fireside Room before we divide up in teams and go out. January 10, 2009 (Saturday) ... Energizers breakfast in the Fireside Room at 9:00 AM. Cost $5.00 February 12, 2009 (Thursday) ... Trading Places Seniors and Kids Night Out at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center. Come and join in dinner, fun and games with the young ones from the congregation. Remember, this is trading places, so Senior Adults, dress like kids and kids, dress like Senior Adults. March 12, 2009 (Thursday) ... Spring Fling at Der Dutchman in Plain City featuring entertainment from One Purpose. Cost is $16.00 and the bus will leave at 10:00 AM. April 8, 2009 (Wednesday) ... Come and help with visits to shut ins and deliver communion. Watch for schedules. See Pastor Dan to sign up on a team. April 17, 2009 (Friday) ... Mystery Trip. The bus will leave the church at 9:00 AM for a Mystery Trip. Cost $35.00 May 14-15, 2009 ... (Thursday and Friday) Join us for an overnighter to Holmes County, Ohio to enjoy Amish living and cooking at it's best. The bus will leave on the 14th at 8:00 AM and return on the 15th at 5:00 PM. Cost is $125.00. June 13, 2009 (Saturday) ... Travel to Indiana for a trip on the Whitewater Valley Train to Metamora, Indiana. Lunch in Metamora. July 10, 2009 (Friday) ... Trip to Jungle Jims and Lunch in Cincinnati. Bus will leave at 10:00 AM. Cost is $20.00. August 22, 2009 (Saturday) ... Energizers picnic and cookout at the Church of God Campgrounds at 5:00 PM. Cost is $7.00. September 14-18, 2009 (Monday-Friday) ... Energizers Bus Trip to Nashville, TN. Bus will leave at 7:00 AM and return at 5:00 PM. Cost is $500.00. October 15, 2009 (Thursday) ... Fall Feast at Der Dutchman in Plain City. Cost is $16.00. The Bus will leave at 10:00 AM. November 19, 2009 (Friday) ... Travel to Ogelbay Resort in Wheeling, West Virginia to see the Christmas Lights. Lunch at Mehlmans and Dinner at the Lodge included. Cost $60.00. Bus will leave at 8:00 AM. December 18, 2009 (Friday) Annual Senior Adult Christmas Party at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center. Cost is $7.00. Decmember 22, 2009 (Tuesday) Breakfast at 8:30 together at Colliers and vist shut in's for Christmas.
