Springfield CampusBlended Worship at Maiden Lane ( 8:45 am Service): Blended worship combines the best of all musical worlds. We “blend” the use traditional hymns, gospel songs, and some of the more time-tested contemporary worship choruses in a Christ-centered inspirational format designed with a little something for everyone. There is moderate use of drama, video, and multi-media. In this service, the Maiden Lane Worship Choir will usually sing twice a month, with children’s choirs and other groups making regular appearances. This uplifting service also features our finest vocal soloists, along with gospel quartets and trios. Various instruments are used including piano, organ, and a lightly mixed rhythm section. Contemporary Worship at Maiden Lane ( 11:15 am Service): Contemporary worship integrates dynamic contemporary Christian worship songs into a spirited and enthusiastic celebration of God’s son, Jesus Christ. Highly rhythmic and energetic, this Christ-centered experience is a joyful worship journey- involving gathering in gladness and thanksgiving, praising God in spirit and in truth, and worshipping whole-heartedly in reverence and devotion. Drama, video, sacred dance, and multi-media serve an integral support role for this hour. Gifted vocalists, worship ensembles, and rhythm sections regularly lead in worship. The Maiden Lane Worship Choir will usually sing stirring contemporary gospel selections once or twice a month as well. The audio mix is full and vibrant. Clapping hands while singing or lifting hands in worship is not uncommon for this experience.
