Children's MinistryWelcome to Maiden Lane Church Of God. Children are special here. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Through Bible lessons, Bible memorization, singing, and experiencing the love of Jesus through loving, caring teachers and leaders, children learn that Jesus loves them and died for their sins. They learn that through loving and serving others they are following Jesus command to love others. Check us out on Facebook by requesting to join the group Maiden Lane Children’s Ministry. Some of the ministries we offer are: During the Sunday School hour nurseries are provided for infants to 1 year old. During the Worship Service nurseries are provided for infants through 4 years old. Our nurseries are child friendly, secure and staffed with loving caregivers. Children begin their worship service by joining their parents in the sanctuary at 10:30. Children will be dismissed to Kid's Town from the sanctuary for their own time of praise and worship and lessons presented with skits, puppets, and videos with Bible truths that relate to the needs of kids today. Sunday school classes are available from 1 year olds to 6th grade. The classes meet from 9:00 to 10:00 . Emphasis is given to learning Bible stories, scripture memorization, and applying biblical truths to everyday living. Wednesday Evening 7:00 to 8:15 pm Children from age 4 through 1st grade are invited to attend Seekers & Singers I and 2nd through 4th grade, Seekers and Singers 2. It will be a time of music, games, crafts, and Bible stories. Nursery is provided for children under 4 years of age. Seekers & Singers I & II programs are run throughout the school year. The Bridge is a ministry specifically designed to meet the needs of our 56th and 6th graders. This age group studies Scripture, life issues, and music. They also participate in service by leading worship once a year and playing hand chimes. Our goal is this ministry is to help these kids find arelationship with Christ that is based on their own desire, not that of the people around them. The Summer Kids program is for children age 4 through 5 grade. The children's ministry will be providing a summer full of activities each Wednesday evening at 7 pm. There will be videos, songs, games, and other activities There is also summer camp at Camp Marengo for children in grades 3 through 12 grades.
